I took the carb off the '57 last week and rebuilt it. It was not as confusing or difficult as I had thought. Trying to be like Donny here...its been brushed up a little...had been painted red before. Hope it will make my tractor run better.

Thanks, I think it turned out pretty good too. Now if I could find the new manifold gasket that I know I have somewhere, I could put it back on
BAMACUB'ER, I brushed it with paint remover to get the red paint off, then soaked it in a gallon of carb cleaner for three days. I brushed the pieces with a small toothbrush type brass bristle brush. inside and out. When it was put back together, I brushed it more until it started to shine. Spent about an hour on it.
