Farmall Cub

Anyone in Cub world have any information about them?
I have acquired one....old and rusty...would like to restore. Was used for tobacco setting.

Thanks for the tip Danial, they're a good company. They've offered to allow me to talk with the owner, but before I do I need to get the SN/Model numbers.

Bill Troutman in Labadie MO has a transplanter. I don't know if it is a Holland or not. He may be able to answer some questions for you. He is on this forum occasionally, perhaps he will see this. Or you could send him a private message. His user name is LabadieBill

I sent Bill an eamil asking what kind his is, but haven't heard anything back yet. There was a brochure called Allied equipment on Rudi's server that had a picture of Bill's transplanter in it, but I can't find the brochure.

I can't find it either. Seems I misplaced it. Will look on the cd's and see if I can find it. If I do, I will upload it tomorrow sometime.

I do have a transplanter for a Cub, but it's a Melvin transplanter made by the Powell Manufacturing Company. Mine was in my wife's family and was used to plant sweet potato slips. I plan on bringing it to Cubarama in September. I'll attempt to attach a picture here.

Thanks Bill for the photo. The Cub can do just about everything with the right set-up. The Holland is a 2 seater, parts are rusted but can be repaired. I'll get to talk with Transplant.com Monday and will pass the knowledge on.

My brothers and I used to fight over who got to ride the transplanter and who had to walk behind to fix any misplants. Tobacco would lay down like it had been stomped and the next day it would perk right up. Wonderful tool.

PS. Every once in a while we would slip in a plant upside down to make the walk behind do a little work!
