Hi:

I would like to build a short stub fitting for the front crank pulley out of round stock, fitted with the appropriate cross pin, with a large nut welded on the outboard end. I want to use it to turn the engine over as I'm working on it.

Can anyone tell me the diameter of the crank stock, and the size of the cross pin? Also, how much sticks out past the far side of the pin?

I'll probably buy a proper hand crank some day, but for now I just need to build spud driver.

We really do try to please :!: :D  :D

Oh, if you click this Chown Tractor Parts, and email David, I am sure he has either a used one or (and I know for a fact he has a couple of these) a new one already made. Very, very reasonable. In fact David, John, or Tom all have used ones at reasonable prices. Hey, it wasn't worth my while to make one, so at the time it was more economical for me to get one from John and Jamie....

Hi Frank, glad to see that you are now a cub owner, I really enjoyed following along at YT as you redid your VAC , I am still waiting to pick up my VA but you won't find a more knowledgeable bunch of Cub guys anywhere than they have here. T.J.
