Cub engine torque specs

Postby bwatson » Mon Jul 12, 2004 2:35 pm

Hello Everyone,

My Cub engine is returning from the machine shop today with a bucket full of new parts. I will attempt to pour all of those new parts into the engine after a couple of day prep work.

I need all of the torque specs for the main bearings and conn rods and such. Where do I obtain this information or which manual do I need?

Can I get it from the IH dealer?

thanks

Bobby W.

Bobby:

All of that info is contained in the GSS-1411 Service Manual. It can be obtained from Binder Books or your CaseIH Dealer. Not all dealers carry them and they may have to order them. It would probably be more cost effective for you to go on-line and order from Binder Books.

While you are waiting for your service manual, you can check out the GSS-1411 on the manual server at the link below.

Bobby, one more thing. If you don't already have the TC-37F Parts Manual or the Owners Manual, I would strongly suggest that you order them as well. They are also available at Binder Books and are also on the server, but it would be best for you to have your own copies as well.
