Belt Pully

Postby Ricaroo » Wed Jun 30, 2004 5:07 pm

I have the 90 degree pto attachment with the large drum pully, I guess you use it for a leather drive belt to operate a cord wood saw? Anyway, my question is can I remove the drum and install a V belt pully? I looked at the manual and it doesn't show if the shaft is the same as the pto shaft now on the tractor.

Yes just unbolt the belt pully from the tractor and you will find the
reg. spline shaft right there.
You mite need to get some shorter bolts though as the same bolts hold the belt pully and the pto shaft so you are tru two castings after ward it will be just one casting.
PS: please be carfull when you try to remove the belt pully
or you could pull the pto shaft out also.

Hope this helps
If it's been broken I did it.
If its not broken wait till I touch it.
