U-Haul Car Trailer for Cub?

A friend of mine might need his '73 Dodge Charger trailered somwhere, and there's a Cub for sale on the way back... and I'll be running empty Has anyone hauled a Cub on one of those U-Haul car trailers? My main worry is that the U-Haul trailer doesn't have an open flat bed IIRC; it's two rails that the car's wheels run in, and a Cub might not be wide enough.

If it ain't gonna work, I might just borrow a friend's 18' trailer for the Cub and go get it NOW

I didn't use a u'haul for mine, but I did use a car hauler. It was real close. The opening was about just a hair narrower than the witdth of the tires. Actually, some of the tire was hanging into the opening. I used a plank of wood to park the tires on, laid across the opening,just in case it moved. Then tied it down real tight. It didn't move at all.

if you reverse all four tires to widen out the tractor, you should make the minimum width of the rails on the trailer. of course, that involves jacking and wrenching at the sellers site, which might not be possible. my '48 has the wheels turned out, i'll measure it tonight.

Never used a Uhaul car hauler, but like Chickewing, I have used a private car hauler, and it's close but will work.
