I tried to install my OEM serial nuber plate yesterday, ad the rivets are to big for the holes in the casting. I only tried one, but it hsaved back and made a lip behind the tag. Has anyone else run into this problem?

G.W. Had a post about that rivet problem awhile back (I-Think). Maybe you can use the original rivets if you saved them. I saved 3 of mine. The other is on the ground somewhere & a magnet wont do the finding trick.

Bob Diener has ad in Red Power Magazine, makes ser#plates that are the best and also has rivets that are correct size.

We just installed new Diener plate on our 450D and all was perfect, Also on our Cub LoBoy and again all was perfect.

I wrote to OEM about the problem and received the following reply.

"Hello,
There are only one sized rivets. They are suppose to be snug, where they
just fit perfectly, and you will have to work them in. Hopefully you got
them to work out.
O.E.M. Tractor Parts, Inc."

Guess I'm on my own. I'll probably reuse my old rivets.

or drill out the rivit holes a bit to accomodate the larger rivets. watch out for the correct police, though :)

Assuming I get to go to Red Power this year, I intend to put the following sign on it

ATTENTION CORRECT POLICE
THIS CUB WAS REFURBISHED TO USE,
NOT TO BE A TRAILER SITTER.
I KNOW IT'S NOT ALL CORRECT,
BUT IT'S THE WAY I WANT IT!
:D
