What Is It ??

Well I decided to start back working on My Cub since its winter hibernation.

I just took the hood off for the first time and noticed that it has a lot of new wiring.

My question is, There is a small gizmo strapped to the radiator neck that has been sealed or wrapped in a tar/rubber like substance. A wire from the hot lug on the generator goes to this thing and another wire comes from it and goes to the amp/volt meter.

Anybody know what is the purpose for it or better yet, Is it some kind of a resister?. This Cub has a 6-volt system. :?:

JB,

A resistor? Here's the real scoop - Your Cub has been fitted with an alien device designed to spy on Earth! When you removed the hood, you enabled the gizmo to transmit secret data to 'their' ship orbiting high above the earth.

Reinstall your hood immediately! You can confuse 'them' by driving the Cub back and forth over a small plot of land as though you were working a garden or cutting grass, or haul it to a new location with other Cubs (safety in numbers) for several days and then bringing it back home. Resistance is needed to thwart 'their' evil attempt to take over Earth.

It's a little known fact, but alien space ships use 6 volt positive grounded electrical systems. That is why 'they' chose your Cub for this spy project. I found this out when I took the aluminum foil off my head and 'they' inserted this information directly into my brain.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I actually have no idea why someone would wire a gizmo to your radiator.

8) 8) Pretty cool answer Carl. That explains a lot, I always did want to drive and operate a "UCO". Actually this alien in-line wired gizmo is attached to the radiator hose neck tube on the head. I think it is a "GPS" system sending-unit for plowing straight rows while napping.

JB,

I think The Lurker has been listening to too much Art Bell :!:

The gizmo is nothing more than a homing device for BigDog.

Maybe a "Y" splice or a fuse :?: :?:

Mr. GW,

I think your Avatar is changing too much. Those of us that are "Remote Viewers" have already seen them.

Got to go, the back door is open 2,000 miles away.

Don't worry Bigdog I didn't give them ALL away :!:   But George Norry may give away some tonight.

That's why I have XM Radio...Don't want to miss any of those secrets.

Nope Donny` This aint no "Y"-Splice, It is about 2/3rds the width of a cigarette pack and same length & thickness. There is 1-wire in from the generator and 1-wire out to the guage. Anyhoo I shall leave it as is. I just finally successfully separated the stack/pipe from the manifold.

JB,

If Mr. Becker doesn't know what it may be, then you should ask Art or George or maybe you could ask Father Martin. Who knows, he may answer.

Stay cool...How hot has it been anyway :?: :?: :?:

Can we get a picture? It could be some sort of current limiting resistor.

I was kinda thinking electrician-guru BigDog would have an answer, He seems to be one of the more knowledgable ones when it comes to these "Sparky" questions. I bet he learned all that "Shocking" experience from his Grandpa.

Its a cool 87-degrees here today Donny. Has been hotter the last few days. I just had to come in the house to cool off.

WHAT IS IT???????????????

WHAT IS IT YOU ASK :?: I WAS SURE ALL CUB OWNERS WOULD RECOGNIZE THIS PART. IT'S PROPER NAME IS THE THERMONUCLEAR MODULATING KANOOTIN' VALVE WITH THE VARIABLE ORFICE. HOPE I'VE BEEN A BIG HELP. YOU SEE, I KNOW MY CUB PARTS :!:

[quote="Bigdog"] Can we get a picture?

:?:  Good idea there B.D.

I haven`t used my camera for so long that it dont want to work now. I erased some pics off the card and now it dont wanna perform it`s duties. I am charging the batteries now and hope that is the problem.

I found a new "FREE" picture hosting page that makes it easier for me to post pictures now without me having a URL. __ I will hopefully have a pic or 2 on here this evening. :?: :?:

Don't suppose it could be a soild state voltage regulator do you? Just a thought.
