189 plow

on my 189 plow i found a piece of metal attached to the moldboard. it had the letters and numbers KAIR 12 what does this mean?

Any plow IH sold could be equipped with any of the current plow bottoms of the correct size. Bottoms were shipped from the factory with an identification tag. You just found the id tag for your plow bottom.

H - General purpose series (Scotch Clipper).
A - Steel frog.
1 - Regular (soft center) share (it is 1, not I)
R - Right-hand bottom.
12 - 12" bottom.
