Teflon tape for fuel lines

Postby PAUL K. in N.H. » Thu Apr 15, 2004 3:01 pm

Hi All
A short time ago we talked about sealing fuel line thread into the tank and along the other connections. At that time I said there was a product at NAPA that was a paste and worked well for this and I think is put out by permatex. Just wanted to add that today at a Home Depot store I found the teflon tape that works on gasoline lines, petroleum oils propane and more. For use with pipes up to 1 and a 1/2 inch pipe size. I hope it is not a gimic and something different than the reguler teflon tape. It come in a yellow plastic roll, but the tape is still white in color. I would think it would be good on all plugs where water may enter that have oils in them. Just thought I would pass it on. Paul K. in N.H.
