1947 Cub Question

Postby Dave Hull » Sat Apr 10, 2004 7:46 pm

I picked up a little '47 cub today 496X serial number. It hasn't run for awhile, I can hardly wait to prep and see if she runs. The question is about the front tires. Most I have seen have the tall skinny tires.

this one has smaller rims and 6.00 x 9.0 fat tires. Was this an option for something? The deck style also differs greatly from the 1953 I had.

Thanks for the help.

I imagine those rims migrated from somewhere else. They don't even match the high flotation rims for a numbered Lo-Boy (10").
