Twenty feet isn't very far. Right now, I can see 3 neighbors wireless networks, all showing 5 bars! You might try relocating your router. Can you put it in a room that has a view of the garage? It may help to make sure it is not near major electrical interference or large metal things (furnace, water heater etc.).

This topic really drifted from the original subject. I am glad it was mentioned a few times that all members new and old should fill out the location part of their profile and do so correctly. "Who cares?" Well, if you are selling or buying something it helps the other guy/girl know how far they have to ship or travel. And if you are asking for advice and you don't list location, that supplier that might be 15 minutes from you might remain unknown if the rest of us can't pass that resource along to you. It isn't mandatory, just helpful.

Billy Ray, at the top of the page, click on the members link. When the members page opens look for the column that says "Website, Location". Click on those words in that heading and it will sort by state.

Is there a way to go to the particular state that you want to search with out going through 73 pages of members? I got the sort by location but it just sorts out the whole big list and I can't figure out how to get just Massachusetts or just Rhode Island.

You can't go directly to one state. When you click on "location" it will sort in ascending order. Since there are so many members with out a location listed you will spend some time that way. If you click on "location" again it will reverse the sort. You can then click on the pages listed in the upper right corner to fine tune the state you want. With the old version you had to change the number in the address bar, but this new version lets you move a few more pages at a time.

But remember, if a member did not list their state before the city you will not find everyone in your state.

can all be toggled to display what you wish to see within the parameters that phpBB has set. You can use the alphabetical list to show the individual states.. well, those that appear will be alphabetical order, but it would help eliminate some of the pages.

Does that help?
