Popped out of gear
I was out for a drive with the 75 yesterday, and going up a very steep grade in 2nd and the tranny popped out of gear. What do would be the cause of this? Getting ready to tear down for paint I thought.

A couple of things come to mind. Perhaps a bent shifter fork which is preventing full engagement of the gears. Or worn gear teeth which are rounded over making them kick out under load. Or, both.
Pull the top off the tranny and have a look.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Joe, I had a similar thing happen with the loader lo boy... only down hill in first....
Scared me a bit, cause it's a heavy one (loader, weights, loaded tires, fast hitch, etc). I think I learned something about taking a tractor to the field without a full checkup. (that one is now called 'pile o parts'). I also learned that brakes are useful in a tractor.
