Hey All, After reading this thread, I was wondering how long that 1 inch piece of pipe was from the factory on a 49 cub ? The distance from the manifold to where the pipe goes into the muffler. On my 49 I think it is short, the muffler almost touches the hood. I know this was talked about in the past, I am just not to good with the search funtion. Thanks !!

Hey All, I was able to do a search and found a very recent thread on this subject. It looks like the length of 1 inch pipe between the manifold and the muffler should be 17 iches overall. Please correct me if I am wrong. I just went and measured the pipe on my 49 and it looks to be only 10 inches overall. Thanks !

The total length of the pipe sold by CaseIH is 17 inches. By the time you thread it into the manifold and slip the muffler on it is several inches less.
