I need some input please!
I have 2 decks that are built alike and look alike except for the color. One is a Woods 42 painted orange and the other one is painted red. My question is this.
Ralph sent me a set of skirts for the orange deck that bolted on and perfectly which is what I wanted. The same skirts would fit on the red deck as well but the bolt holes are not even close to lining up.
Is the red deck indeed a Woods or were the red ones from another supplier?

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

One of my red ones is on a 62 lo-boy and was purchased with the tractor. I have another that I don't have any idea of the year. I believe Jim Becker said he had a red one from around 61 or so.
So I think they may have been common in the early 60's. The deck in your picture is a Woods deck. I may or may not have been purchased at the same time as your tractor.

Ron and Redfin, this one looks exactly like the deck on my 52. It is a Woods and is also red. Sweet little mower, and I really like mine. Pete Here is a pic of mine: The PO added the JD Green wheels, haven't gotten them painted yet.

Jim,
Looks like your getting my tractor in tip top shape before I come pick it up. I appreciate that.

I should have bought it for nothing when I had the chance. Oh well, That is how it goes. If I were you I would keep the dual alternator door cub for my personal collection. Are you going to the Tumble. We are going to ride down for the day.
