Oil bath breather pipe question

Postby Johnnyrock70 » Tue Mar 25, 2008 5:57 pm

hi Fellas.
Question: what function does the breather pipe (that goes from the block to the oil bath filter stack) serve? I just cleaned mine out, and it was absolutely clogged! I had to go through it over and over for 30 minutes with wire and carb cleaner. (49 Cub)
THANKS

Johnny, that is the forerunner of the PCV valve. Serves basically the same function.
