This is just my own thinking. I am not sure a Cub can handle the extra horsepower the Ford blue would give it. I think the blue is subject to your own likeing. If you like it for $1 a can, go for it. Heck for a $1 a can, maybe your house would look good blue!

Implements around my place are Ford blue. They look much better than rust.

Gary Dotson wrote:I have a couple cans of 9023 NAPA paint, it's a good bit lighter than IH blue, but at $1 a can, it's a great buy. That's good quality stuff. The darker Ford blue engine paint is much closer, a lot of people use it.

I didn't know that! The same dollar store also had NAPA 9003 dark blue and I got 6 cans, "just in case". Maybe I'll do each cultivator with a different blue. Kinda' like the circus coming to town.

I used the Ace Hardware - IH Blue 17140/I00037 on the Hay Rake.

Speaking of ACE paint, our ACE store carries IH Red, IH Blue and IH Green. Where in the world was IH Green ever used ? I've been using it some on my antique horse-drawn implements.
