CN Cub update

Postby EZ » Sat Mar 06, 2004 8:43 am

Well, things are going at a snails pace, but progress is being made. The engine is still on the stand, valves lapped and back in, cylinders deglazed and ready for pistons. Received gasket sets for engine and touch control ( All IH parts) New rod bearings as well.

Questions: There are 2 oil pan gaskets in the kit, one thicker than the other, what's up with that? Also there are 2 timing cover gaskets, the difference between the 2, one has a full ring around the governor, the other does not? What's up with that?

My next purchase will be a paint sprayer.

Also, any tips on installing the speedy sleeve on the fan pulley?

EZ, when mama ain't lookin', slip that speedy sleeve into her oven and heat it up. Then a quick trip to the shop and slide it on.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

My wife says I don't listen to her. - - - - - - - - Or something like that!

 EZ, Don't know what all the other gaskets are but if you want to get in real trouble put the pulley in the freezer and the sleve in the oven like Bigdog said. I'de do it when your wife's shopping.
Always try the easiest thing first.
