Woods Wheels

Postby CubYel-Lo » Tue Feb 19, 2008 6:34 am

Can anyone tell me what kind of caster wheels my Woods 59", 3-spindle, 3-belt clockwise rotation deck should have and where to get them? The shafts are 3/4" and the hubs are about 3 1/4" wide centered.. The wheel's about 5 1/2" Dia. , 2 1/8" wide at the bead and the Tire's ~8 1/2" Dia. and 3 1/4" wide.. I just can't seem to find good info for Woods parts.Image

I'm looking for a set also. Not easy to come by, but available as a kit from a Woods dealer. I did ask one and seems they need to call to get the price. Figured if you have to ask you can't afford it... so still looking.

Give Ralph a call, he may be able to help you out.

I had one of the rubber tires come off of the rim onmy Woods 59. I had a good connection to a woods dealer, so I went and ordered the wheel assembly. When it came in, my yoke was to narrow to accept the new wheel. They got to looking in the book, and that was the only wheel available, and there was a replacement part number for the yoke. I ordered the new yoke, and sure enough they had changed the style. The bill for just one wheel and one yoke was right at $75. That does not include the bracket to mount to the mower, or the spacers. Iwent to Rural King and found a push mower wheel the same diameter and now I have a spare to get me by if need be. The other wheel is starting to come apart, I wonder how much the price will have went up.

If you wish to add the guage wheels to the mower, you need to order WOODS wheel kit part # 29750......$ 210.

If just the wheels themselves need replacing, buy a # 19703 wheel......$ 52.75 each.

If your local WOODS dealer, can't help, ring me toll free at 1-866-327-6255 (8-5 cst) M-F. I stock most of these parts.

Postby JC-Cub » Tue Feb 19, 2008 5:11 pm

Guys, I have a woods 59 and I got my new wheels from a John-Deer dealer and they only cost me $29.00 each and the fit just like the old ones.
Just a little info. Jim

Thanks guys, I looked up the 19703 wheel at a couple of sites and they said they're a 1/2" bore so my axle's too big.. I wonder if I can find just the tire to fit, there's nothing wrong with the wheel..
