Haven't heard anything from those fella's all day.

I guess Cecil is having a great birthday!
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Yup I watched them all work and they made me tired too!!!!! I had a GREAT TIME TODAY!!! @ CECILS!!!! I meet with some fellow cub owners who we only know each other by name here now i can put faces to the name. It motivated me today to get going with my restorations(I have many).

Today was great it was carbuerator 101 and changing tires 101 Cecil did a great job instructing and helping everyone. I'm sure the pics will follow. I been to many schools for automotive and carbueration when i was younger and even i learned stuff today too. Your never too old to learn.

All I can say its a good thing we all don't live in the same town for sure it would be wall to wall cubs. If we did it would be called "CUBVILLE" right?(just kidding but its true)

My many thanks to Cecil & Pris for having us today.

Cecils

Postby sccrooks » Sat Feb 16, 2008 9:17 pm

My son Spencer (11) and I were at Cecils today, rebuilt a carb for a 67 lowboy, and had a great time. I learned alot, but not knowing much to begin with created a great opportunity for learning.

During the 3+ hr ride home my son and I talked about what we had seen today and had learned; I realized he took in a great deal from watching and listening. Tomorrow we try the carb!!!!!

I recently got him a 63 Wheelhorse to drive in the Memorial Day parade (at 11 they won't let him drive a Cub) - even though he drives better than me. He told me on the ride home he wants to rebuild the carb on Wheelhorse, and I'm going to let him.

As Cecil and others were working to get a tire mounted, they commented they needed a BFH; I knew exactly what they meant, and was glad when Ed (Scotty's dad) explained to my son that it meant a "Big Fat Hammer".

A great day all around, and agins Happy Birthday Cecil.

Doesn't seem quite fair that the birthday boy was also host to yet another terrific Cubfest at Kinderhook ... but he was and he did (with the help of his gracious lady fair Pris). It was an exciting, productive day with three carburetors rebuilt, a rear Cub tire and tube mounted on its rim, sand-blast demo, welding, and the purr of Cecil's Cubs running.

Cecil and Pris are warm, engaging hosts who always seem delighted to share their home with their appreciative guests. Two cauldrons of delicious vegetable beef soup and fresh baked bread for lunch and two yummy birthday cakes for dessert. A feast to behold and enjoy!

We were fortunate, indeed, to be able to participate with the other 19 attendees to yet another delightful gathering of Cubbers.

Thank you again, Cecil and Pris! Happy Birthday!

So when and were is the next cubfest in our area?

By the way I purchased some awesome removable red seat covers for my pan seats that were made by a local hard working girl.(Peter Person's daughter) There water proof to keep the seat dry when its left outside. You just remove it and your seat is completely dry. Some of you pan seat owners may want to look into getting one they can keep your butt dry.......

Bill, Emily will have the next batch (including yours, rjmac's, and a few others) into production this week.
Her mother was pleasantly surprised and impressed that she sold out the 1st batch.
