Can you use a light switch off a 6 volt system for a 12 volt system?

A switch is just a switch. Not positive about the resistor coil for the low setting, but it should not be a problem.

Yes you can.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

The 12 volt accessories- lights- use less amperes than do the 6 volt. The light-dimming resistor will not get as warm on 12 volts and will not dim the lights as much. 12 volts will be an easy life for the switch.

I didn't know about the resistor part, kinda figured the switch thing would work. Thanks for letting me suck up some more knowledge :D !
