Hum, squeak, hiss, ahh

Postby Dave (69 lo-boy) » Sun Feb 22, 2004 11:12 am

I disked my garden spot today.
The hum of the engine.
The squeak of the helper spring as the disk is raised and lowered.
The hiss of the soil as it is turned over.
The smell of freshly turned ground.
It just doesn't get any better than this.
It's pea plantin' time in Virginia.

Must be nice to live where you can be planting this early. The ground hasn't completely thawed here yet.

The grond here still has snow cover. Many feet deep in places.
