Touch control lever tension disc??

What do some of you guys use to replace a worn tension disc on your touch control lever. Looking for ideas.

If you have the later one with the adjustable tnesion, the disk is still available form IH dealers.

I have not replaced mine, but I'd probably use a piece of leather. If you can't find a shop or store that has leather scraps, go to Goodwill or other thrift store and buy a pair of leather shoes. The tongue and/or uppers should have something usable. The best is a pair of inline skates. Good leather in the uppers and the wheels and bearings can be used for lots of things.

Leather from an old tool belt did the job. if it lasts it will be a fine fix.

Might also take the old disk to a lawn mower dealer. riding mowers with the hydrostat use a similar disk, and they may be able to match it.
