What is everyones ebay username?

Postby Tim Martin » Wed Jan 23, 2008 11:55 pm

I know a lot of you guys sell and buy parts in the classifieds on this forum and/or on ebay. I know that some of the sponsors of this site sell items on ebay too. Just wondering what everyone's usernames on ebay are.

Mine is "last_second_sniper" and I am sure that I may have ticked someone here by outbidding them within the last few seconds of an auction. Funny thing is barnyard just out sniped me on a auction a few minutes ago... oh well, that's how the game is played!

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Mine is; bill154cub Let me know if your bidding against me, I go after mainly cub cadet parts that i need but look at the farmall cub stuff too. But Ralph is my main source of cub parts he's been great so far to deal with. My restoration of my 52 cub should go well in the spring. I'm really filling the garage up with cub cadet parts.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

Well, as I have mentioned before my :eBay: userid is my Ham Call... ve9rhs -- pretty unique as there is only one. I usually bid on Manuals for the Server. I have seen some of you rnames and that is pretty good.

A previous thread tried to identify our userid's on :eBay: but that led to the usual privacy concerns, so it didn't go too far. I still am in favour of a way to keep track of our members as they do their thing on eBay, so as not to compete with fellow members if there is a choice. I understand sometimes there is no choice, you need a part badly, you pay what you are willing to pay.. but in many cases, I choose as a personal preference to NOT BID against any forum members, our sponsors or personal friends. That is just MY policy.

I am hoping that in a future version of phpBBS software that we will be able to have an :eBay: button similar to our yahoo, msn, AIM buttons that will be linked to our eBay id's should we choose to insert that data.. At that point privacy concerns will then be in the hands of the individual and not have to be a major group concern ..

Well, I have resumed adding :eBay: ID's to my list. So anyone who wishes to drop a pm or a post on their ebay id's, send me a pm or an email and I will add it to my list.

This could be a good way to poll how many would be interested in having an :eBay: button for their profile.

I will have to go back through some of my other files and pick em up. I really do not like bidding against another member unless I have contacted them.

Ron.. that is a good point.. and it is good courtesy to a fellow member.

I like it :big smile:

One big problem with all this..... when you are bidding on fairly high dollar items the bidders ID is hidden so even if you know everyones Ebay name it is of no use. Small item bids are still identified so this will help some.
Mine is woodpecker56.
