Snow Blade top piece

Postby Poncho » Fri Jan 04, 2008 7:42 am

Good morning,

Anyone have an idea how tall and thick the snow blade extention is on the 54a. Mine is short one and I thought I could have one made locally and make taller if it doesn' t matter to much. Thanks, Poncho

The one on mine is 6" tall X 3/16 thick. There is 4 1/4 " above the blade.

Poncho, mine is even taller than Bob's. This was already fastened to the blade when I bought the whole package, cub and all, from an original owner. I'm not sure if it was homemade or original, but it's curved like the blade and extends 6" over. Same thickness as the blade.

Rick,

I wonder if that is not just another blade cut down smaller. Do you have much snow go over the top?

The snow has a nice roll to it. I can't remember ever seeing any come over the top. One other thing about mine. Dave(DirtDevil) noticed that my blade setup has a lowboy mount under the steering assembly, so my blade actually is tilted forwards more than usuall. Maybe if I had the right frame under it, some snow might fly over, but I still doubt it.

Looks strangely like a rubber fuel line on their Mr Rick !!! Ahemmmm!! C The hydraulic setup is very sweet; however. There's a nice home and piece of property for sale just down the road...........I'd put you on a retainer and just sit and watch the master at work !! It'd be great. C
