So what did santa bring you???

Postby BigBill » Wed Dec 26, 2007 10:08 am

Again Merry Christmas to all my tractor buddies here!!!!!!!

I try not to get caught up in the commerical part/hype of christmas and try to keep the true meaning of christmas to bonding with the family and friends.

What was under your christmas tree in the morning???

I got a farmall lamp, a farmall tractor shirt, a small remote control helicopter(indoor flying buzzin the pets who could careless, my kitten thinks its a bird of some sort) a remote control snowmobile(i seen these on You Tube) my next one will be a gas one there sick. And the usuall clothes. But i did get a yellow/green tractor clock that makes tractor sounds on ever hour from my sons girlfriend from Ontario Canada she is a sweet heart and i hope he marry's her soon before she gets away. Its a JD clock but i'll always cherish it because she bought it for me. Well i do have a JD tiller but we won't talk about that here. I also got some night vision goggles so i can see whats at my camp in VT at night i have something i have never heard before screaming at me in the dark. Its so loud and intense it sounds like someone is being skinned alive.

BTW; The boxes from EBAY are still showing up now the misses knows for sure they weren't christmas presents. (cub cadet parts) I just can't convince her that tractors are for doing work there not toys. I'm also setting up my equipment incase i purchase a farm down the road too thats my dream.

This year was a special christmas my daughter had health problems at 30yo and she is doing great now. I have prayed like i never before prayed that she would be ok. This has brought the family closer together this year for sure and i hope it continues. This was my christmas wish that was answered and its one gift that can't be topped. :D

The boys conspired with my wife and I now have a gear/pulley puller.
I don't have an immediate need for it, but Aron is working on his Cadet 60 Rear Engine Rider 6hp Tecumseh and is in the process of tearing down the engine for a refurb.

I did not get much this year, and I am not upset by that. In my opinoin it is all about the kids. The way I figure it I get what I want/need the other 364 days out of the year, so why worry about preasents at christmas. I try to focus on the family part, and have an enjoyable time at the holiday season.

:? :? :?
I must have been bad this year. I got a shirt but that's ok. Pony has it right. I received my joy watching the grandkids open their presents.

The gear puller is a most handy tool Peter! That is what I asked Santa for and he came through!!

Believe it or not, I bent and nearly broke the old puller on the steering wheel on Cathy.

Bill, great to know your daughter is doing fine. No matter how old they are, they are still one of the kids.

I got a new battery charger. I guess I wore the old one out keeping all the tractors charged.

Great news about your daughter Bill.
:tractor:
I have Christmas every day in my opinion. So receiving sox and you now what, is fine with me. That just meant I rode Twilla (Cub) around wearing new sox and you know what. Doesn't get much better than that.

It's good that you had new you know what on. You could have been in an accident and had to be rushed to the hospital. We are remember what our mothers told us before we went out. I always told her that if I was ever in an accident I probably would have been so scared that I would have dirtied my you know what before I got to the hospital anyway.

Probably a bobcat, or maybe even a lynx up there.

What did Santa leave for me for Christmas?

Well, most importantly, we had all the kids home for Christmas, Clay was here for his first Christmas with the family. Em and I cherish family time together. The best part of Christmas and Santa is the expression on the faces of those you love. That is the absolute best part. The next best part is the whole Holiday Feast thing. Em is an absolute fantastic cook.. no scratch that -- chef extraodinaire :!: Holiday time is wonderful. Fresh Homemade Baked Soft Pretzels hhhhhmmmmm good

As for what was under the tree?

Fine Woodworking Subscription -- yeah :!: :!: (Red Power is automatic)
1 - 440/880 single/double line electric hoist
1 - 1 ton Trolley
New Mitts, Toque and other warm stuff.. so I can ride Ellie in style and a lot of other good stuff.

I am a happy camper..

Next Christmas will be our first as Grandparents.. I am looking forward to that one.
