Anyone service a woods 42C mower spindle?

Postby Mamachala » Fri Jan 30, 2004 7:43 am

Apparently you have to cut the welds on the sleeve to replace the bearings. Anyone have any experience with this procedure?

Thanks

jack, i'm not familiar with that mower, but if you take a look on Rudi's manual site, you'll probably find the info. http://www.cleancomputes.com/Cub/index.html

Yes, the Woods manual says to just buy a new spindle assy., $220.00. Thought I could save alot of money by just replacing the bearings and seals, and wondered if pthers have had any luck doing this.

Thanks
