I can't believe this, I'm prepairing my cub to paint Christmas eve by removing things that I don't want red.
My plug wires, cap and button are all orignal, 40+ years and still going

My wifes right in the middle of everything going on, she has her projects to. We work together helping each other, her big thing this season is shooting the photos at her schools Christmas dance tomorrow night so I'll be there setting up the lighting for her and what ever else she needs...

I'm off work Mon. and Tue. so I have the shop for the weekend plus those two days. I've been prepairing it all week so it won't take long to shoot once it's started...
We'll shoot the sealer on first, then base coat, clear coat.
The hood and fenders are already done and buffed so after painting I can put it together after a couple hours.
Maybe sneek off Christmas afternoon for a little while and finish up
If everything works out time wise I'll post a couple pictures.

Remember, red, not red and green. even though most people think of them as traditional Christmas colors.

With the subject of the thread, I thought you were having transmission problems!

It is interesting to see "original" things on our cubs when we work on them. Are you planning on changing the wires over to new ones or keeping the originals on there. I have heard that they don't have the boots over the plugs and like to "bite" if you reach your hand near them while it is running...

I got bit real good the other day while playing with my pony tank
I just stopped by TSC at lunch and picked up what I needed. I'll just leave the old cap on while painting to protect everything inside...

Yogie, I know we are both from WV but I don't think my wife would let me work on my cub christmas Eve. But if that is the only time you can get in the paint shop then that is a good reason. Any way have a Merry Christmas and send pictures as soon as you can. Jim (jccub)
