Well got it running and it sounds great, no smoke and no knocks. All the gears and PTO work as they should. The steering is nice and tight and the hydro is now working. I have no excuses so I started the tear down today. Things I know that I need is the front grill, rear rim, two front tires and I’m going to start looking for a hood (if anyone has a good one let me know). I can fix the hood but it’s going to require some time.

PS the second bump in the forest was an old dog house and trailer.

Really looks to be in decent shape!

Tires are about $65 delivered for a pair, with tubes from Tucker Tire.

Wasn't a Cub trailer was it?

Hey, nice progress so far. Neat to see it go from forest hummock to running (albeit stripped) Cub. :D

It sat for 12-15 years. I believe the honeysuckle protected it. It's remarkable.

Well Mark, you sure don't let the grass grow under your feet do you? You're moving pretty quick with your project. It looks good so far.

I can't let the grass grow. In 4 weeks I have a 1940 Ford coming into the shop.

Mark,

That is nothing short of amazing. To think it was Dec 9th that you posted the retrieval, and now it's wearing fresh paint, and running well?? That's crazy!!!!

Great job bringing this one back to life.
