Oh No! 105 mower disapointment

Postby Keith L » Mon Dec 03, 2007 9:16 pm

Finally getting everything moved around and stored for winter. The '62 Loboy with the 105 was next in line to be moved to a different barn. Well, as long as I have it running, let's do a little mowing. Hey, that didn't sound right! Oh No!

I am very disapointed, and with so many other Cub projects to get to, your going to see this tractor in the for sale section soon.

Man is that disappointing.

Tell you what. I'll give you $5.00 for the mower if you will dismount it and put it on the Cub express for Missouri. Or better yet, I will up the offer. $50- for the entire piece of junk (tractor and mower) delivered to Missouri.

Gosh, I really hate it when something like that happens to me - every day.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Yes, I wa very disappointed. But with a engine rebuild and brake job coming up on my '58, the complete refurbishment of my '57 Loboy and a "quick" refurbishment on my SAV for next years parades and tractor cruise, I'm never going to get to the 105.

Nice Lo Boy I love the 4 bar ones painted yellow. I have a 4 bar standard cub but it is red. The 105 mower was a Highway department option. Does the tractor also have the tall front rims. Or any other Highway cutter eqipment.

Keith:

Every Cub has it's day. You will need a project sooner rather than later. I think you should keep it. A Lo-Boy with a 105 on it, well that is kinda rare around here...

I sure would like one, be nice to upkeep the sidelines.. but.. do what you must.

Is the whole pulley assembly toast??

Rudi, That's exactly why I wanted it, to cut back the sticker bushes along property edges. The shaft that the pully turns broke right off. I wasn't over stressing it at the time.
In answer to the option question, the Loboy is not one of the specially prepared Loboys with the 15" front wheels. The Mower does have the "curb" attachment.
