Harrow Plow one more time

Postby LYNYRD » Mon Dec 03, 2007 9:13 am

After looking at pictures and seeing that there is not much room to attach lift arm to harrow plow, I was thinking why not remove muffler and just run a straight pipe. I have an extra steering arm for a disc plow that could be fabricated into a lift arm. all Input appreciated.

There was a thread on this a while ago. Several people run straight pipes with the stack setup without any problems. You should consider hearing protection. Hearing damage is cumulative which means every exposure gets added up to all the previous ones and there is no turning back the clock.

Good luck with the harrow plow. I would love to find one. One just sold for $75 on Ebay but it was down in the Florida Panhandle which is a bit far for me to travel. had to let it go.

Harow Plow one more time

Last count, I have $50.00 in the plow including the steering arm, yes the exaust would definitly have to have a straight extension pipe added with a 90 degree turn on the end. For no more than I will use this plow I can use it hooked or suspended with chain as pictured. I am just glad I saved it from the scrap dealer. I will post photos of the disc plow I also saved from the scrap dealer.

Lynyrd,
Did you ever solve the problem of the missing hydro lift arm?? I have one of these plows and can send photos and measurements of the arm if you need them. Let me know, I'm more than happy to help.

For the guru's out there, would it be possible to fab a lift arm in some sort of fashion to raise and lower the drawbar while using the 193 moldboard plow?? Seems to be a common problem of not having the manual lift assembly to adjust the height of the drawbar (I do not have one myself!!!) The way the hyd unit raises and lowers the 12-D plow is pretty slick.

Just a thought....

Hey Raymond- Check out this thread for an idea on using the TC for the 193 plow depth control. Its pretty slick.

Lynn, just take a sledge hammer and bash the side of the muffler in till you have clearance.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
