no front weights, and it was little light (had to be careful with clutch). the wood was cut and has been in a metal shed for 20+ years, so the load is not as heavy as one would expect. the TC could lift it with a little help. I had to lift with one hand to start it moving, about 20 pounds of additional lift. Once it started to move it came up on it's own.

I am curious, is that hooked up so you can raise and lower, or is it stationary? and how much weight do you think a guy could put on there, a 90lb propane tank?
I need to try to build something that will hold a propane tank and also still be able to use the front hydraulics to raise and lower three hooded weed flamers.
This may be a little scary for you, but Donny M has put together a spray rig on one of his Cubs. The plastic tank is about 3' long, 24" diameter and lies on its side to the right of the motor, just outboard of the steering shaft.
Instead raising and lowering the propane tank all day, how 'bout mounting the propane tank in the same position as Donny's tank and have the burners on the rear rockshaft?
Propane is low pressure and I suspect that you already have a rubber hose running to the burners from the tank. This setup just requires a little longer hose. If propane can't be laid on its side, then put the tank in the same place but mount it vertically. Your tank won't be moving around and subject to falling over and you can put a ball valve in the line for "instant off". You will also be better able to see what's happening at the burners, and you've increased the distance between the flame and the propane tank.

Re: CARRY ALL
actually I have been burning it for a while, and it is doing good. I have an air tight stove with a thermostat draft control that I just put new door gaskets in, and it holds 8 to 12 hours on a load. About 5 percent of it was not useable (just crumbled in your hands), but the rest was good in my old Warm Morning Stove48 BARNEY CUB wrote:HEY JOHN

I have had no luck finding the drawings for the folding version. Could someone please help me out with a link?
I ended up at the following link, "Drawings-Sketches-Pictures"
http://www.cleancomputes.com/Cub/Sketches%20or%20Plans/index.html
And it says, "This page is undergoing an update, so please bear with us !"
and the child directories come up with server errors, so I guess Rudi is working on it.when I bought the cub with loader it had two pieces of wood acroos the standard drawbar. bolted to those two pieces were two rear weights. total of 300 lbs. supposedly had been back there from day one. I wouldn't worry aborry a propane tank being two much weight

evielboweviel, that is a great nickname!
Thank you Ron, that takes care of my biggest worry!

John:
If I remember correctly, Nik Roble did those measured drawings, as that pic I think is of the Folding Karry-All that Nik built for me. It is sitting about 3 feet away from me.
I have to update the index page for Kodiak's Karry All, but the pics are on the server.
