good evening gents, here are some more pictures of my loader.it works well and i haven't had any trouble.the concrete weight in back is heavy, maybe 500 lbs. it looks home made and i've never had it out. i added the wheel weights as the block isn't heavy enough because of the leverage of the bucket.i have the manual to the bucket from binder books ,and the rest looks to have come as a package deal. i bought another cub with a broken gear in the tranny and swapped it's sheet metal etc. i then replaced the gear and painted the tractor. it had a woods mower under it. i sold it to make my sheet metal free.(gotta love that)i am in williamsburg, ohio, near cincinnati and attend the antique machinery show in georgetown , ohio and have a ball with the tractor.i love to respond to your questions and will probably have some of my own. feel free to ask anything about it or tell me what you know about it. how unusual is it? i've never seen another one.Chris. p.s. i'm not very good with a computer,so my daughter helps me download my pictures. she was to delete MY picture. you see how well that went. i guess thats the thanks i get......sorry

Chris:

Thanks for the pics .. and the info on the counterweight. Interesting... and it is nice when a parts Cub can be if not profitable, at least pays for itself or the parts you use.

BTW, is the manual that you have for the loader the same as the IH 1000 Loader Manual on the server? Can you let us know what date it was published?

Don't see how the return to the TC works?? Not too wise about it, but mine runs from the loader to the fill plug (you have a 45 but no hose) .

If I can figure out how to get the pins out I am going to disassemble it soon.

Yours is lots nicer than mine.

It has the normal old style by-pass block with the pressure out of the manifold allen plug hole and the return back into the bottom of the bypass block. The T/C arms probably still move, but you wouldn't want to apply any pressure or you could blow that low pressure hose and hose clamp apart, which becomes high pressure when using the t/c arms for lifting . I never use my T/C on my loader either, so it's probably ok for now. Is there anykind of screen in that open elbow?? or is it open to the elements(bees and wasps)?? I'm not sure how the fluid level would be constant in the T/C block, with the 1000 loader using a one way cylinder on the arm. seems to me that when the bucket is in the full elevated position, the T/C block oil level would be low, when the bucket is lowered to the ground, the T/C block fluid would be near full. An interesting set-up, and this prooves the point-- there's sometimes more than one way for things to work :D . Is the 1000 loader holding tank still vented at the top?? Thanks for sharing your pictures,

Rick

My 1000 has a vented cap on the 'tank'. The book shows a dipstick on it? Just drained it yesterday, some small 'particles' in the liquid and looks like a bit of water in there too. I will try to post a picture of the line. Took the pictures so I can put it back together, CRS ya know!

good afternoon all, i hope you enjoyed seeing my pictures, i would like to see some pics of your equipment. i haven't changed anything on the bucket since i got it and it works fine. i will probably re-plumb it when i paint the tractor. like to do that this spring. we'll see how that goes, always seems something else comes up...Rick, there seems to be a vent on top of the tank, but no screen in the elbow. that probably needs looked at so it doesn't get plugged. as for my picture Donny, don't be afraid because i'm harmless. i can open my pie hole that big so i can stick my foot right in. hey buzzard king, i don't know if my top vent has a dipstick or not, but now i have a reason to look. thanks for responding and hope to here from you guys again

I like! King of the Buzzards. Has a nice ring to it.

Shot of the plumbing on mine. I am working on getting the fast hitch and the loader off the tractor, but doing it a little at a time (when I have time and daylight). This Lo Boy is even a test for Kroil!

Hey Larry. I know it would be hard to do, but could you get a close-up shot of where the reservoir hose connects to the loader tank? Is it toward the top or bottom of the post?? I can see where it connects into the T/C fill plug.

I can still get a picture... I was attempting to pull stuff off that tractor today. It's even giving the Kroil a hard time. That bucket is heavier than it looks, but I did get that off. The long pin was some worn where it pivots.
