The original lower radiator housing, with the serial number plate on it, was probably replaced on your 1951 tractor. Wouldn't make any difference to me as I would say that's better than a cracked housing!! If I were the one to do it, I would probably swap SN plates though.

I looked at a "1947" the other day. The serial number plate had 977 on it, but that was all. It was just a blank, silver-colored metal plate with 977 someone had stamped on it. Casting codes were all T (1950).
