Anyone else think this might be a sign?
Last year my great-aunt sold her farm. She gave us her 1949 Cub and here's a pic, at long last.
She also told us to look around and take whatever else we wanted, just to clean out the barn. I also found this. Is it a sign? What will I ever do?

Trent: Sounds as if you're experiencing a Rod Serling"Twilight Zone" moment !! Actually, it's obvious your great Aunt is being VERY nice to you so don't put too much thought into it - just go ahead and build that new shed you know you've always wanted !!! (It's so easy to spend other people's money) !! Craig

That sprayer is from about the mid sixties itself. They sold for 34.95 in 1962. 119.95 now. You found all the good old stuff! Show us the Cub when it's done.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Yup that is a sign...
Nice gun too.. I remember those when they first came out.. My Dad bought one for the shop.. late 60's early 70's. Nice inexpensive gun.. not a DeVilbliss but a good intermediate gun..
Have fun with that

I will definitely paint it someday. Needs more work first. Over the winter a friend of our's from church, retired IH mechanic, rebuilt the motor. The work done, as far as the paperwork can tell me, new rings, main bearings, rod bearings, head gasket, pan gasket, water housing to head gasket, generator belt. Also, valves ground. I have rebuilt the carb, one new front light, new pan seat, new muffler and rain cap. I also drained the TC and front steering gear housing, refilled with Hy-Tran and 90wt, respectively and they both leak, as you can see in the picture. I also have Hy-Tran getting into the engine oil. So I still need to rebuild the TC pump, TC reservoir, and stearing housing. I'm scared of the TC reservoir.
I haven't replaced oil in/cleaned up transmission or finals yet, but I plan to soon. I'm also gonna repack front wheel bearings sometime, probably when I tear into steering gear housing. Need to do all this before I start to clean it up to paint. I'm glad you are all here to help, because I'll need it.
Also, the carb is a Zenith. Why would the IH carb have been replaced in the first place? The Zenith works fine and is the one I rebuilt. Just wondering about that.
