Cub on TV

Postby BOB K. » Sat Jan 27, 2007 4:20 pm

I couldn't sleep last night and turned on the TV. While flipping channels I think I seen a Cub. It was the very beginning of a movie called
" MARS ATTACKS" does anyone know the movie? Was it a Cub? I really didn't catch it.

Thanks for the reminder Nik.... I needed to get a copy of Grumpy Old Men for the ice fishing tourney next month (if the ice is no good we can watch the movie). Got the both Grumpy's for less than $12 on ebay!

I just took my kids to see the new"Charlot's web" today. I thought I saw a Cub but after a second, it looked more like a full size farmall. There was also several shots of an old Ford (and I can't remember the model). There were plenty of scenes of a beautiful farm in Maine. It made me wish I didn't live in this ego inspired, BMW/Mercedes/Porsche 16 year old driver hell hole from hell place. I wish I had a more simple way of life.............

In the movie "The day the earth stood still." There is a poor old man trying to start his cub with a hand crank.I believe in front of the Capital building in DC.

Never seen a Cub on TV, but I was talking to a Cubber that was selling parts and he told me that CBS broadcasting had bought from him a top shelf resto Cub for a documentary either on Cubs or tractors in general, apparently that was about 5 years ago..... I never saw or have heard of that documentary, but the person I was talking to seemed to be a big tractor buff and not at all a story teller.......

:?: what is the quick fix to prevent aliens  from shorting out a Cub like in "The Day the Earth stood Still"? Do you wrap the mag in tin foil?

No, not when it comes to a Cub - you wrap the operator in tinfoil, the mag in lead foil

If it's the Borg calling, BD has it right - resistance is futile - unless you upload Windows 98 to them - then they crash...

And I thought I was the only nut case seeing Cubs on TV movies and checking out any and all red or yellow tractors on them!! My wife thinks its so funny that I will sit and watch (Her words"A bunch of old men riding around on tractors") RFD TV tractor shows on thursday evening. She laughs at me all of the time when I talk about different ones and says that I am complety eaten up with this tractor thing!!! I but I see I'm not alone!!!!...Bill

Bill - your wife needs to meet some of us. That'll convince her that you're normal! (I think!) :D
