finished up a club project last week and decided to get into the demonstrator.
everything from all casting dates to the serial number to white paint underneath everything made me certain that it is a true demonstrator, but i took lots of pic's anyway.

here's what i started with

Art,
Good to see you post again.
I take it you've been busy planning for the big show this summer.

Nice 8) Demonstrator!

Have you noticed all the Connecticut Cubbers signed up lately.
Me thinks we need a ConnectiCubFest @ Zagray Farms this spring.

Are you going to Cecil's on February 17th?

Art, I can't believe how nice that Cub is for it's age.... Looks to have been very well cared for.

Good luck on the project... and let me know if I can help you out.

Thanks again for the snow plow assistance! It is working great, hasn't snowed once!

ARTC here is how the Demo I"m currently working on looks. I'm headed out to the shop to start the rebuilding process this morning.

this tractor has been a pleasure to dissassemble. barn kept its whole life, it appears. everything torn down without use of a torch. engine has been rebuilt..new ih front seal. swirl marks on cylinders from honing, new clutch, evidence of a rear seal replacement. original tool box. original battery box, wiring clips in place.
problems are few. dented gas tank, but clean (shiny) inside. radiator brackets to the hood broken and fixed with a screw through the hood. some bondo on hood. one brake in-op.

in all, a very well cared for, little use cub. engine .003 to .004 oversize on original bore. haven't seen rod bearings as of yet.

i'm breezing through this rebuild/restore. there's a pile of parts already sandblasted. my son Dave has the trans in pieces and a good donor for parts.

i've got ;lots of pictures. and i'll keep the old tag in the tool box.
