Battery box tip

Postby Clem » Thu Jan 18, 2007 7:07 am

I was reminded of a tip I found searching Rudi's battery box project that was handy. Use a mouse pad to line the inside of the battery box lid if your lid does not have bumpers.

That's a great tip! I've been trying to find a way to make the box work with the taller batteries. The thin rubber mat that lines the top of the box seems like it'd wear thru pretty quick.

Deerejohn - someone here on the board (can't remember who) uses a thin sheet of countertop laminate as a liner. It's durable and provides the needed insulation.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
