GOV. LOW SPEED SCREW ADJUSTMENT
THIS MAY ALREADY BE COVERED BUT I CAN'T FIND IT, THE 48 MODEL I HAVE ON THE GOVENOR ADJ. SCREW THE ONE THAT TAKES A 5/8 WRENCH AND YOU TURN THE CENTER SCREW YOU KNOW THE ONE THAT THE FAN GRINDS THE MEAT OFF YOUR NUCKLES, SOMEBODY TOLD ME ALL THE WAY IN THEN BACK IT OUT 1/4 IS THIS RIGHT?

Oron - that screw is adjusted to correct for surging. If you system is not surging, screw it in until it touches, back off 1/4 turn and lock the nut down.

I am sorry for being so dense but this adjustment with the all the way in and a 1/4 turn back, is this done with the engine running, idleing....could you explain a little deaper please.

Don't attempt this with the engine running - you won't have any knuckles left.
