my tc just started leaking at the end towards the motor, I can look in there and the boot for the cyl. looks dry, where else can it be coming from? Im not familiar with it. I guess ill have to take off the hood.

this started since i added the hyd. power angle snow blade.

Check all the lines you have added or changed. Also try operating the system (or have someone do it) while you stand beside the unit with a flashlight. You may be able to see where the leak is coming from.

John, also turn your plow all the way to the left(cylinder retracted) and make sure the T/C cylinder is also retracted and then check your fluid level at the T/C fill plug to make sure you're not overfull.

Look also at the boot area around the control valve, located just to the right of the piston. If you can get the area de-oiled, a light puff of baby powder will reveal the oil trail.

John, there is an expansion type plug (freeze plug) on top of the TC that may be out of place and allowing oil to splash out, or if ti is overfilled it may have pushed it out.

thanks John,

Ill look for it , I suppose the easiest way to see everything is to take off the hood.

removing the hood does help you see better but it gets a little tricky operating the TC with the hood removed.

just funnin ya.
