Is this color scheme correct?
Ebay item#170065108720 - Low boy with white hood and white doglegs. I am considering bidding on this item and need to know whether it is likely that the hood and doglegs could have originally been painted white. THANKS!!!!

I don't think that color scheme was used 'standard' on that year, could have been custom from the factory or just painted that way later....
Doglegs on most of the yeller Cubs was Yeller... until they went the long blue Cub Cadet looking decals on the hood in the mid 70's. So Big Dog's 76 has a black grille and white dog legs and my 71 has yeller dog legs.

So the correct answer is ..... which ever you prefer.

I can only tell you about mine. It is NOT painted as it was done at the factory, but as I liked it. IMHO the doglegs look better painted white. Maybe someone else felt that way too? Shorty was red all over when he left the factory. Correct is in the eye of the beholder.
