The main problem is the offset. that makes it more difficult, since those were only in a few tractors..
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

It gives me an idea since i just purchased a SIMS cab for my 154 cub. If i close off the sides of the exposed motor I think i can capture and send some of the engine heat to the cab? Just like on the cab heater setup at northern tool. I'm going to have to remove the two rear guards that cover the pto belts. I believe the cab covers this area. I been looking for one of those 12v defroster heater/blowers but there are none to be found anywhere.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

I saw that heater cab on Northern's website yesterday too, and thought "Hmmm...."

There's a list of tractors that it fits, such as the Ford 8N, JD 1010, small Olivers, etc. All are small utility tractors.

However, I would dare say that it's probably more than just a simple bolt-on with so many different tractors listed. It's probably a "universal" kit, and no more difficult to adapt to a tractor like the Cub than anything else.

I just found a heater/blower for my SIMS cab on my 154. I found it at http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/ I purchased a 300watt ceramic heater for $59 on sale. I figure the low setting should work and be better than nothing at all.

Years ago I worked in a Lumber yard in a cabinet shop and i made a plywood/2x4 frame with plexaglass windows and two doors which was awesome in the cold weather. If i didn't find a SIMS cab so affordable I was going to go that route. I have two cub cadets that i may fabricate a smaller SIMS type cab using plywood. Time and weather takes its toll on the body as we get older. I was always an outdoor person between cutting trees all winter and riding motorcycles in 10 degree weather and in ice storms. Now the arthritis is taking its toll but it was fun. I turned many a harley riders heads riding in ice storms with the ice screws in the tires. They just couldn't believe what they were seeing.
