-22 mower drag bar.

Postby Bus Driver » Fri Nov 17, 2006 3:41 pm

The parts catalog lists two different part numbers for the drag bar, 451 381 R1 and 453 029 R1. At one aftermarket supplier, I saw that both bars are offered and the lengths were posted. Seems that the price was about $40.00. But now I cannot find that supplier and have forgotten the name. One of my mowers has a homemade drag bar that looks as if the fabricator tried to make one with adjustable length- and failed miserably. All parts of the original are gone. So the first question is: How does one know which bar is correct for a particular mower? 2. Who is the aftermarket supplier? 3. Has anyone seen a successful shop-made adjustable bar? 4. Design ideas?

Looks like it depends which drag bar support you have. Long drop takes the short 32 3/4" rod and the short drop takes the long 33 3/4" rod.

I would guess the long drop is for the reg cub and the short drop for the lo-boy.
