It looks like we need to have an email campaign and help him understand that there is no such thing. Those look just like the decals on my '49 that were dealer installed in 1960. The caution decal comes from the more recent decal packages and wouldn't have come out in 1950. Would IH even had a seperate replacement decal for demo's?? Once the demoing was done, they were repainted and decaled properly. Nobody was into restoring them until recently??

He just received a blistering message. I'll bet he doesn't post it.

That decal set is sometimes seen on very poor restorations of most any year. Anyone who has seen one on a show tractor won't forget it. They look like bumper stickers. Really crappy! Not worth the shipping even for a tractor you don't like.

George I sent him a message this morning And got back 2 replies stating that the packaging stated it was for a Demo. I can't dispute that but I can tell you that decal would not end up on a demo I restore.

When trying to decide whether someone is a fraud, or merely an idiot, one has to follow something called a "chain of plausibility"..........

Is it plausible that this guy has in his possession a set of vinyl decals which are not new, hence NOS, were labeled by someone (another idiot most likely) as "demo"....perhaps as a sample for the decals themselves, and not really intended for the 1950 cub demos.......or, perhaps actually for the cub demos, by some unenlightened soul, thereby leading the seller to this rather sad, stupid end??

Unfortunately, I think it is entirely plausible....

Hence, the seller is a fool, but not a charlatan.......

This being the case, he deserves your compassion, and pity, but not your business......
