Horseshoe Drawbar---Cub or Lowboy?

Postby jwjohnson » Sun Nov 05, 2006 8:58 am

I am about to purchase a horseshoe drawbar to mount on a 1949 Cub. However I have learned that this drawbar was originally from a LowBoy Cub, not yet sure what year. Does anybody know if a Lowboy drawbar will work as well on a 49 Cub? The lowboy brackets appear to be longer and narrower, but the mounting configuration could be the same. Does anybody know for sure?

Thanks
John

The drawbar is the same for the two tractor models, the brackets are very different.

John:

These are the drawbar brackets for a Regular Cub:

and for a Lo-Boy:

They are available as New Aftermarket Parts or used at TM Tractor Parts. Used parts at JP Tractor Salvage and Ralph's Cubs as well.
