Good shop help

Postby Bigdog » Mon Oct 23, 2006 3:22 pm

Good help is abundant around here. All it costs me is a few tractor rides! We had a micro-CubFest here Saturday with my son, grandson and brother-in-law Bill to help me. We put the lo-boy back together while labor was available. We left the detail work to Mikey (grandson).

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Good thing he's working from the side instead on the front :) Is that a David Bradley hood in the back ground :?:

Jeff - yes - its a DB hood. The rest of the tractor is there less the engine. The hood is in perfect condition - no dents or dings. You interested?

BigDog,
That's the best kind of help there is!! John's right he sure is growing up fast. My granddaughter is already 3 going on 4 my how time flies.
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

You bet!!! My granddaughter turned 35 last week.

Mikey is noticeably taller standing beside a Lo-Boy.

Hey BigDog...Mikey HAS GROWN !!! Must be all that FRESH Ohio Air!

Talk about "kids helpin' out"...My Dad left our '48 Packard out in the drive one Saturday (I was around 5 at the time) and I decided to "play gas station". I didn't have any REAL GAS...SOOooo, I used the next best thing I could get my hands on...I poured a WHOLE pink can of Glass Wax (you geezers will rermember Glass Wax) into my Dad's gas tank :!: :!:  Needless to say...Dad's Packard had to go to Joe Moro's Garage (about 2 miles away) where the gas tank had to be dropped and cleaned out...along with the fuel pump...fuel line and carbuerator!

The BOTTOM LINE was MY BOTTOM WAS SORE for a couple of days...but like the Timex watch...I TOOK A LICKIN' but KEPT ON TICKIN'
