Wanted - Carb Throttle Body Assembly

Postby rmolleur » Sat Oct 21, 2006 3:13 pm

I need the "top" carb throttle body assembly for either IH carb. #'s 251-234-R94 (Cub) or 364-579-R91 (International Cub and Lo-Boy)

All of the above with engine serial numbers below 312389

The part number for the carb throttle body assembly is 351-874-R91

I need it because the treads where the fuel line goes into are stripped.

I have 2 good used hard-to-find adjustable tie rod clamps and bolts that I can put towards any deal.

Thanks!

Your throttle body is repairable. Try using a heli-coil to repair the threads. The threads should be 1/2-20.
If it's not repairable I may have one.

If it's a work tractor and you aren't afraid of the correct police, use JB Weld on it. You may want to put a short piece of tubing in the carb. body and go from there with a rubber gas line to the fuel bowl. I did that to my neighbor's Cub 3 summers ago and it is still holding up.

It's hard to find someone to part with just half a carb. I'd try the helicoil. Brandon.

Especially the half most often defective. 8) I have several with helicoils but I won't advertise the forum member who who thankfully repaired mine. He may not wish more work.

Thanks everyone.

I tried the JB superglue suggestion since it's a work tractor painted pink with John Deere green wheels.
