What is the yellow wire with the connector used for? A light?[/img]Image Also there is a terminal for an A/C Tap, what is that for? Thanks Ted

The picture shows an alternator added as a conversion. Is that a Hitachi? Definitely looks like an import. More pictures from different positions might help.

I do not recognize this alternator. Do you have the manufacturer's name and model number?

Its a Motorola alternator, this engine is from a power unit. Casting code makes it a 75 and it has a 12 volt starter. Bought this on E-bay with a broken rod, but it's back from the machine shop and I must decide if I want to put it in my Cub or put a generator on it. Ted

it goes to on and off with ign switch

No that large nut toward the bottom of the picture takes a wire going to the amp meter as well
