what components arn't red?

Can anyone tell me if the magnito,front grill,manifold, headlights, etc on my 1949 cub should be painted (red or black) or unpainted.

there was no black originally on a cub.

Everything, save for the tires and steering wheel rim, was painted red at the factory. The tractors were painted almost completely assembled.

Rear rims were galvanized... or not painted either..
