Deep South Stonethrow Cubfest is getting near

Postby brichter » Tue Oct 03, 2006 6:07 pm

just 2 more days till another get to gether. I'm getting too old for all this driving and walking but it's just so much fun I can't stop. The only thing I regret is the fact that I can't make Cecil and Pris's Northeast Cubfest. Gotta get out tomorrow and start loading up the cooking gear and get ready for a weekend of fun and festivities at Kodiak's. See you lucky ones there and we'll try to get some pictures for you unlucky ones who don't get to come.

BR, Pris and I will miss you guys. Maybe next year you'll make it. But we will see you at one of the events we are already planning to attend next year. You and Marylou have a ball and all you guys down there will be in our thought this weekend.

HAVE A BALL.

Ralph,
If you didn't get directions from mapquest just give me a call and I'll zoom you right in!
I'm in Houston right now but will be on my way in early am (7) and plan on spending Wed afternoon and Thursday getting the final things ready. We look foward to a Great weekend and lots of fun.

Ron
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

The Georgia location is about 5 hours drive away from me and that is not an obstacle. I have a long-ago scheduled conflict that will keep me away. The pictures of the other events clearly illustrate the careful preparation for such events. Unless one has been involved, it is difficult to grasp the amount of work necessary to get ready for such events. My thanks to those who do host these. Hopefully, I can attend one someday. Y'all have fun!

Bus Driver your correct it is a fair amount of work for the prepration but as someone here on the forum said "it more than pays off in the intangable things you get in return!"

As far as The Stonethrow Cubfest goes , things are as ready as they'll get at this point. Bald is already here! He brought his Cub up and unloaded late this evening. Billy Ray is probably in bed so he can get up early and get on up here in the morning and others too. Looking like a very nice weekend weather wise. I'll be up early in the morning with the biscuits and coffee. So ya'll come on down!
